Trainer

Mr Ng Chong Yuan
Faculty, IP Academy, IPOS International

Ng Chong Yuan is a Singapore qualified Advocate & Solicitor with an engineering background and diverse work experiences in the technology sector. Presently, as a full-time faculty member of IPOS International (Academy), his area of specialization covers intellectual property (IP) and its practices and management.

He is currently teaching in courses at NTU and SUSS, and training different stakeholders of the IP ecosystem, including patent examiners, legal professionals and managers of intangible assets. He also oversees the academic matters for the Academy’s specialist certificate course on intangible asset management.

Prior to joining the Academy, he practised law at an international law firm in Singapore, specializing in IP law and technology law. As part of this legal practice, he advised and represented clients in relation to wide portfolios of patent and trademark rights in major jurisdictions around the world. Other than IP prosecution work, he is also experienced in IP litigation and other legal advisory work.

He is also an inventor of a USA patent (no. 6853626).
