Learning Objectives

  • Identifying Singapore Funding Sources and how to write successful translational bids

This course is only open to Singapore Civil Servants and Public Officers.

Speaker / Trainer Profile

Dr Nessa Carey
Nessa Carey PhD is an internationally accredited Registered Technology Transfer Professional and a highly experienced trainer in the innovation field. She has designed and delivered training all over the world including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Brazil and Portugal. For 3 years she was the International Director for PraxisAuril, Europe's largest network for professionals working in technology transfer. Her training clients in the UK have included a number of leading academic institutions. Nessa has an extensive track record of direct experience in innovation. After leaving her academic position at Imperial College London, where she is now a Visiting Professor, she spent almost 15 years in the biotech and pharmaceutical field, identifying new innovation opportunities in both the university and industrial sectors. She now runs her own consultancy, and her clients have included some of the leading UK universities. Nessa is a non-executive director for University College London-Business, one of the world's most successful university spin-out and licensing arms. She is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for 2 UK biotech companies.
