Programme Structure & Outline
Flipped Classroom Structure
In respect of the delivery of module content and learning activities, a combination of independent online learning, tutor-facilitated classroom sessions and project work will be utilised. Students are also expected to undertake independent reading, prescribed as pre-class preparation, to deepen their understanding of the foundational knowledge required in each module. Case study analysis and discussion, in particular, will be the primary learning activities utilised to emphasise practice-related skills.
In terms of teaching and learning (T&L) hours per module, it is envisaged that a total of 38 T&L hours will comprise the following:
- 18 hours of classroom sessions
- 20 hours of self-directed learning involving accessing online content, completion of prescribed readings, and completion of assessments
AY2021 run is a Daytime run for public agencies. Classes will be conducted online or at IPOS International’s office.

- Strategising the Business of Intangible Assets (SC503)

Exemptions Available
Exemption from the module “Foundational Aspects of Intellectual Property in Business” will be available for:
- Applicants who have graduated from the Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law (GCIP) programme, jointly offered by IP Academy and Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore.
- Graduates who have taken similar modules conducted by IP Academy in Post-Secondary Education Institutions / Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) will be considered for exemption.
Admission Requirement
Aspiring IP Professionals with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree qualification.
Applicants who graduated with a Bachelor Degree from Universities where English is not the main medium of instruction are required to demonstrate their English proficiency using TOEFL* / IELTS** test scores.
Applicants with a local Diploma qualification and at least 3 years of intellectual property-related work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
*TOEFL is the abbreviation of the Test of English as a Foreign Language.
**IELTS is the abbreviation of the International English Language Testing System.

Students will be required to pay the full fees upon acceptance of offer. |

Application for the AY2021 intake will close on 21 December 2020.
